Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans,
the seeds of berriesfrom certain Coffea species. The genus Coffea is native to tropical
Africa and Madagascar, the Comoros, Mauritius, and Réunion in the Indian Ocean.
Coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries.
Coffee is darkly colored, bitter, slightly acidic and has a stimulating effect in humans,
primarily due to its caffeine content. It is one of the most popular drinks in the world, and it can be prepared and presented in a variety of ways (e.g., espresso, French press, café latte).
Coffee has many benefits for the skin, mostly due to it’s high caffeine content that
gives the skin a boosting effect, similar to the drink effect but on a local area of the body.
Applied on the skin, the caffeine will have effect by dilating blood vessels beneath
the skin and improving overall blood flow.
Coffee contains antioxidants and vitamin B3, which are very helpful to restore the skin to a youthfull state and prevent aging.
The coffee has many benefits and various applications:
